The recent ISE2008 show in Amsterdam saw the launch by Projecta of its Multi-Mask Imager projection screen.
The product is a tensioned screen which,
regardless of the image size projected, can create a true-to-cinema experience.
It features electrically controlled horizontal and vertical black borders which allow the projection screen to be adjusted to picture sizes 4:3, 16:9, letterbox (1.85:1) and cinemascope (2.35:1).
Projecta says this gives every projection a perfectly fitting, matte black border, similar to that enjoyed in a movie theatre. The screen frame has been finished with special velour fabric which absorbs the scattered light in the projection room and contributes to a higher perceived colour contrast.
The Imager is fitted with the High Contrast Cinema Vision projection screen fabric. This consists of a grey basis, finished with a reflecting top layer, claimed to be exceptionally good at reproducing black values, without affecting white reproduction.
The screen is also available with the Matte White D projection screen fabric.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

How surf simulators are transforming the experience economy |

The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
