Work begins on Europa-Park expansion

Construction work has begun on a 15 hectare expansion of German theme park Europa-Park. A spokesperson confirmed that as part of the project, the attraction is to open a new major ride in time for the summer season 2009.

New home for Southampton’s Spitfire museum

Solent Sky Aviation Museum in Southampton, which tells the story of the creation of the Spitfire aircraft, is to be rebuilt and its collection extended in a bid to increase visitor numbers. The plans have been granted outline permission by Southampton City Council.

Visitor centre for Giant's Causeway
