| Glastonbury in Serious Stages |

Somerset-based Serious Stages ensured that the headline acts at Glastonbury 2008 wowed the crowds from their most advanced structures yet.
The company supplied a full range of its products to the festival, in an order which totalled three stage roofs, four PA/Screen Goalposts, seven PA Masts, four Spot Towers, five Front-Of-House complexes, around 4000sq m of decking and the iconic Ribbon Tower in The Park area.
A new attraction for the event, the 20m high observation tower was constructed from Kwikform scaffolding system and Serious' proprietary decking system, handrails and custom designed treads, the whole structure being clad with ribbons and given a wicker roof.
At its summit, the Eastern-inspired tower was illuminated from inside and - with a public decking area at 15m - provided a free panoramic view and map of the whole site, day and night throughout the festival.
Elsewhere, it was a Glastonbury debut for Serious Stages' new 22m Supernova roof structure that was the Other Stage, with its smaller sibling, the 16m Supernova, making its first appearance as main stage in The Park.
Helping to complete the order, an 18m Orbit Roof was supplied for the ever-popular Jazz World, plus all decking, PA/Screen goal posts and Lunar delay towers for the main Pyramid stage.
All the structures and decking were designed and engineered by the Serious Stages design team, with the actual installation work taking more than a month.
