Saville Creative, the multimedia design division of Saville Audio Visual, has created a package of interactive 'fly-through' features for the City of London Corporation as part of the Tower Bridge Exhibition.
From the high-level walkways of the iconic structure, visitors can now use a series of kiosk touchscreens to locate and 'visit' and learn about the city's most famous sights.
Included are computer generated graphics of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Docklands' Canary Wharf, The Tower of London, maritime Greenwich and The London Eye.
The kiosks are all controlled via a master PC which holds each of the seven languages offered and operating files. The software also has built in EDICT programming (Electronic Data Information Capture and Transfer), a system developed by Saville Creative that tracks and logs detailed usage statistics of each touch screen unit.
This allows the client to identify important marketing information such as which areas or sights are of most interest to visitors and a breakdown of visitor usage via nationality.
When a visitor selects a location in which they are interested, an arrow appears on the screen pointing in the direction they should look in order to see it. They are then given the choice to press a button to go and visit it virtually. On pressing the button the image on the screen whisks the visitor virtually across London to provide them with a closer view of the building, including a text summary in the selected language.
This virtual format involved the company modelling a large part of London in 3D to achieve 'fly through' visits to more than a dozen major tourist locations.
A further twelve locations are shown in still image mode. The interactive software also features other interesting facts relating to Tower Bridge plus quiz games for the younger audience.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
