Kevin Murphy has been appointed development director of exhibition design group Event Communications.

Murphy joins Event from audio visual giant Electrosonic, a company which he joined in 1987 as product manager.

During his time at Electrosonic, Murphy’s roles included general manager, sales director and systems director, and he was part of the team which formed Electrosonic LLC in Dubai in 2007.

After leaving Electrosonic in November 2007, Murphy has taken time out to travels and has also concentrated on his responsibilities as the European President for TEA (Themed Entertainment Association).

London-based Event Communications provides a range of design services including consultancy on masterplanning, interpretative planning, 3D design, graphic design and project management.

Murphy will be tasked with expanding the company's reach outside Europe and in to the Middle East and the US.
