The second annual UK School Games will kick off on 23 August in Coventry.
Talented sports youngsters aged 17 and under from all four home nations will compete in eight sports at the four-day event, which has been designed to replicate the feel of major events such as the Olympic Games.
This year’s School Games will feature three new sports – badminton, judo and volleyball – as well as disability events in athletics, table tennis and swimming.
Channel 4 will broadcast coverage of the events on 16 Sunday and 23 Sunday September.
