Plans for the £40m redevelopment of the Center Parcs resort at Elveden Forest have been submitted to the Forest Heath District Council. The resort, which was severely damaged by fire early this year, is due to open in late spring 2003.
The plans include a mediterraean style piazza linked to the Subtropical Swimming Paradise which will include a new children's pool and an exercise pool, additional bowling lanes at the Leisure Bowl, an extension to the spa and a newly designed cinema. Some new villas will have sauna and outdoor hot tubs.
