Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has unveiled its plans for the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort in Florida, US.
The development is an attraction featuring family suites designed around four themes - The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Little Mermaid.
To be situated adjacent to Disney's Pop Century Resort, Art of Animation will include 1,120 family suites in The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo wings, and 864 themed rooms in The Little Mermaid wing. The suites will feature both a living room and a bedroom, a move designed to offer added space for families. The courtyard areas will be home to larger-than-lifesize icons from the animated films.
The new resort, the 26th at Walt Disney World, is expected to create more than 800 construction jobs, commencing immediately. All of its themed suites and rooms are expected to open by the end of 2012.
