The Tourism Skills Network South West is to launch a three-year series of masterclasses and best practice seminars in Devon to develop management expertise within the industry.
The Tourism and Hospitality Executive Programme – focused on enhancing business strategies for customer service, leadership and management and marketing and quality – starts in November and is supported by funding from the South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWERDA).
Adrian Bailey, skills manager at SWERDA, said: “The line up of speakers is exemplary. They will give professionals in tourism, leisure and hospitality industry a real confidence boost and give insights into proven work practises to help their business.
“We wholeheartedly support the initiative and see the programme as key to enhancing what is already a very important sector in the South West.”
The first masterclass will be launched by Humphrey Walters, who has worked closely with Clive Woodward and the England rugby team. Details: www.tourismskillsnetwork.org.uk/local/Eprogramme
