UAE-based property developer Nakheel Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open a hotel in Djibouti City, Djibouti, east Africa.
The 400-bedroom Djibouti Palace Hotel will feature a beach club, leisure facilities and a conference centre.
The US$150m (£86m, 123m euro) first phase of construction will focus on the development of the hotel and conference centre, which are scheduled to open in November.
The hotel will be operated by Kempinski Hotels and Resorts.
Nakheel also plans to open a mountain-top spa and island resorts in the area.
