London Sport develops funding identification tool for clubs and organisations
POSTED 04 Oct 2016 . BY Matthew Campelli
Local London sports clubs should be able to find appropriate funding more easily
Sport organisations in London can search through millions of pounds of grant opportunities via a funding identification tool developed by London Sport.

The London Sport Funding Search Tool is the “first digital platform” that focuses on growing the physical activity and sport sector in the capital by providing a “direct route” to investment.

At launch, the platform has more than 350 individual grants listed which are valued at around £17m (US$21.7m, €19.4m). The launch of the tool follows a six-week “soft-launch” period.

Caroline Brooks, funding and facilities manager at London Sport, said the platform would “open up new routes and opportunities for clubs, grassroots organisations and the rest of the sector across London”.

“One of the key challenges facing the physical activity and sport sector is in securing appropriate investment; an issue this platform has been specifically designed to address,” she added.
