Ohio-based Sandy Creek Mining is the builder and supplier of mining equipment and products used in panning operations at tourist attractions.
Already established across the US, the company is now expanding into international areas such as the UK and Australia. Aimed primarily at children, the sluices are said to be ideal for sites looking to increase secondary spend opportunities.
Customers purchase a bag of mining rough, which contains a selection of up to 20 different gemstones including ruby, topaz and emerald.
Part of the mining rough is then placed in a screen bottom box before being dipped in the sluice to reveal the gems as the soil is washed away. Users are then able to take the gemstones home as a memento of their day out.
For added safety, there are no steps or platforms required in an effort to eliminate any possible accidents.
Sandy Creek’s standard mining equipment allowing 16 people to use the product simultaneously, although for those looking to cater for more customers, extended versions with a 32 person capacity are also available.

|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must

leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
