Director General of London Zoological Society to head NHM

Dr Michael Dixon is to succeed Sir Neil Chalmers as director of the Natural History Museum.

Dr Dixon is currently director general of The Zoological Society of London, with responsibility for London Zoo and Whipsnade Wild Animal Park.

Sir Neil has been elected Warden of Wadham College, Oxford.
