Vekoma Rides has unveiled Splash Party, a new interactive attraction based on one of the company's existing coaster designs.
The ride is based on a new layout of the Suspended Family Coaster, fitted with either trains or single 4-passenger coaches and features a new seat and restraint design.
Each coach is equipped with water bombs - which are filled in the station whilst visitors are leaving and joining the train - with the option of having water guns fitted as well.
Passengers can release the bombs at certain points on the ride by pressing a button mounted on the coach. More water features - such as guns and geysers - can be installed on the ground to allow people in the queue to get their own back on those on the ride.
Splash Party has a top speed of 50kmh/31mph, a track length of 375m/1230ft, a lift height of 15.5m/51ft and is available in various configurations.
Each of its two 8-coach trains carries 16 passengers.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
