DrageKongen is part of the upcoming Asia zone |

Dutch firm Leisure Expert Group (LEG) has been working with Djurs Sommerland in Denmark, on its latest coaster and expansion project.
Djurs Sommerland’s biggest investment has been DrageKongen, Europe’s fastest and longest Family Suspended Coaster, manufactured by Intamin. LEG, previously known as Jora Entertainment, worked on the art direction, the technical design, AV and special effects.
LEG is a specialist in all manner of work across the leisure industry, from designing and building a new attraction, creating a festival or show, or upgrading an existing experience.
The 825-metre DrageKongen track is sited in a Asian-inspired jungle-themed area with a 4-metre-high dragon temple at its centre. This is part of the wider masterplan for the Asia zone for the park.
“Leisure Expert Group worked in close collaboration with Djurs Sommerland to make sure all the light, sound and special effects work together with the coaster to make the ride even more exciting,” said Kim Hoekstra, management assistant at LEG.
“Imagine stepping into another world, a world full of mysteries and legends. In that world, you find a hidden temple where a majestic dragon lives. He will take you under his wings and soar you high up in the sky for an extraordinary journey on Europe’s highest and fastest suspended family coaster. We design and art direct this area from storytelling into reality, making sure that the guest of Djurs Sommerland experience an unique and exciting new ride.”

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

How surf simulators are transforming the experience economy |
|
The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
