Italian ice cream equipment manufacturer Carpigiani has launched its Quartetto machine – a compact, vertical batch freezer, specifically designed with traditional artisan ice cream and sorbet production in mind.
The Quartetto is claimed to be the ultimate addition to any kitchen, as in addition to making fresh artisan ice cream and sorbet, it is also capable of storing up to four batches of dessert at the correct temperature for serving without taking-up unnecessary space.
Said to be perfect for any restaurant or café, the Quartetto is simple to operate. Just pour your mix into the top compartment, close the safety cover, start the production cycle, and wait for the signal that sounds when the product is ready. Approximately four litres of ice cream is produced each cycle.
Once ready, open the front hatch, and the gelato/sorbet is automatically dispensed into the steel tub on the shelf below.
Supplied with four stainless steel tubs, the Quartetto stores the prepared desserts in its chilled compartment which operates at temperatures from between -8°C to -15°C.
Mounted on castors, the Quartetto is intended to be easy to move around the kitchen in an attempt to allow the machine to be put wherever is most convenient.
