Dreamworld's Tiger Island has herladed three new arrivals this month after one of its Sumatran tigers, Soraya, gave birth to three female cubs on 9 June.

The Australian park has already welcomed another Sumatran tiger cub this year, with the arrival of Sali, in May, who was rejected by her inexperienced first time mother at another zoo. Dreamworld now plans to integrate her into the new litter in the next few weeks.

"By the end of July we'll start offering cub experiences and guests of all ages will be able to play with, pat and have their photos taken with the cubs," said Tiger Island Manager Patrick Martin-Vegue.

"Cub experiences are a great chance for the cubs to get out and start interacting with people and to raise much needed funds for conservation projects working tirelessly to save tigers in the wild."

Tiger Island is currently home to six rare Bengal tigers, eight rare Sumatran Tigers and two cougars. A percentage of funds raised from all Tiger Walks and Tiger Photos are donated directly to saving tigers in the wild. Recent estimates conclude that world-wide there are only 400 Sumatran Tigers left in the wild and only 600 in captivity worldwide.
