Madame Tussauds in London has unveiled its latest interactive attraction – the chance to participate in tv’s Pop Idol and be judged by Simon Cowell.
Potential pop stars can choose a song and perform in front of the waxwork Cowell, which has a device built in enabling it to work out whether the singer is in tune or not – and then deliver his verdict in the pulling-no-punches style for which he has become.
For those who don’t fancy singing themselves, presenters Ant and Dec are on hand and visitors can help them judge as they watch contestants live on a video screen.
Actual footage from the current competition will be played on a giant video wall so performers can even pitch themselves against the real competitors.
