Miral announces November opening date for new sports-themed Clymb attraction
POSTED 08 Nov 2019 . BY Andy Knaggs
The structure of the Clymb building is inspired by UAE's rugged landscape

Clymb is set to become the ultimate hub for adventure in the region
– His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak
Clymb Abu Dhabi, the new sports and leisure attraction on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island, is to open on 29 November 2019, according to owner Miral.

The US$100m (€89.8m, £77.3m) project will deliver the world's tallest indoor climbing wall at 140ft (43 metres) tall, and its widest skydiving flight chamber, spanning over 32ft (10 metres). Miral said it will have challenges that appeal to both novice and expert climbers and skydivers.

The attraction will also feature a range of food and beverage outlets, and provides space to host parties and social events. An air-conditioned passageway links Clymb Abu Dhabi to other Yas Island attractions, such as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Mall.

Chairman of Miral, His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, said the facility would provide a "world class sporting experience", and added: "As one of the most highly-anticipated new attractions in Abu Dhabi, it is set to become the ultimate hub for adventure in the region, offering something completely unique, challenging and unforgettable for all ability levels."

Yas Island's other attractions, which are in close proximity to Clymb, are Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

The architecture of the crystal-like Clymb building has been inspired, said Miral, by the rugged, mountainous landscape of the United Arab Emirates, popular already with skydivers and rock climbers.
