The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia has opened after delays, marking the completion of Foster + Partners' mixed-use Comcast Technology Center.

Rising 1,121ft (341m) and 60 storeys, the tower is aimed at engaging the community. Shops, bars, restaurants and a 32,000sq ft (3,000sq m) fitness centre are mixed in with workspaces for Comcast and NBC10, as well as the Four Seasons hotel in the building's top 12 levels.

Nigel Dancey, head of studio at Foster + Partners continued: "The Comcast Technology Center is like a city within a city, with a rich mix of uses that is embodied by its dynamic spaces – from the publicly accessible winter garden flooded with light, greenery and art for everyone, to the vertical loft-like workspaces in the sky which encourage innovation and creativity, three-story skygardens with break-out spaces, restaurants and cafes, a state-of-the-art gymnasium and a 'town hall' space that brings everyone at Comcast together."

The Four Seasons is housed between the 48th and 60th storeys of the tower, with 180 rooms and 39 suites offering floor-to-ceiling views of the surrounding area.

The Foster + Partners interiors of the hotel have been designed with a floral design by Four Seasons artistic director Jeff Leatham.

The theme has also been harnessed by Tokyo-based teamLab, who have created a digital floral experience in the hotel's lobby.

Guests have access to a health and wellness centre on the 57th floor that features an outdoor infinity pool, a fitness centre, a wellness boutique and a spa with seven treatment rooms.

There is a Jean-Georges Philadelphia restaurant on the 59th floor, with an atrium featuring 40ft (12m) glass walls and a mirrored ceiling that reflects diners and the city below, and a cocktail bar on the floor above.

Christian Clerc, president of worldwide hotel operations for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said: "From architecture to design, artistry and innovation, culinary mastery and wellness expertise, we have worked closely with our visionary partners at Comcast and Liberty Property Trust to assemble an all-star team of virtuosos who are elevating Four Seasons service, quality and artistry to new heights."
