Euro Disney launches German offensive

Euro Disney is vigorously targeting the German market as it announces plans to improve the experience for its German visitors.

The company intends to build a new four star hotel at the Disneyland Paris resort. The 405-room LTI-Parkhotel is due to open in 2004 and will be situated in the new hotel quarter of Val de France, where three other hotels (Airtours' My Travel, Six Continents' Holiday Inn and Envergure Kyriad) are also under construction.

Inspired by the châteaux of Ile-de-France, the hotels will offer a total of 1,500 rooms when they open in 2004.

The LTI-Parkhotel is targeted to the German-speaking market, namely Germany and Austria, under an agreement with Thomas Cook and German travel agency, Dertour.

Meanwhile, Euro Disney has signed an agreement with Groupe Flo to finance and operate a Bavarian-themed restaurant under the franchise of Prince Leopold of Bavaria, owners of the Brasserie du Châteaux de Kaltenburg. The 280-cover restaurant will serve typical German food and is due to open in April 2003.
