Throughout its 2005 season, Worldwide Travelling Theme Park Experience will be giving 20 pence from each redeemed concessionary voucher that it distributes, to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Run by Monty Hammond & Sons, who are third generation showmen, the travelling funfair tours theme park rides such as the Blizzard rollercoaster and the waveswinger to urban neighbourhood parks.
The agreement with Great Ormond Street will see the hospital’s logo displayed and the pledge by the park’s operators, embodied in all communications for the show alongside specialist youth communication. The funfair hopes to add further awareness-building to the show as it tours through the summer until Christmas.
Monty Hammond said: “We are predominantly a children-based entertainment with strong family traditions. We are delighted to be able to do something worthwhile for charity and help our guests to think of others, whilst having fun themselves.”
