Tate Modern and Frame collaborate on a mind/body experience

London studio, Frame, has teamed up with the Tate Modern
Frame is providing an hour of yin yoga with sound healing
Tate Modern will run a mindful gallery tour
The experience is open to both members and non-members
London boutique operator, Frame, has teamed up with the Tate Modern to offer two yin and sound yoga classes, following by a tour of the art gallery.

Two sessions will take place on 28 January, in the Tate Modern’s East Room: an inspiring place to practise and deeply relax. Floor to ceiling windows drench the space in natural light and offer spectacular views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the River Thames.

The hour-long yoga class, from Frame, will be an uplifting combination of yin yoga and sound healing with Himalayan bowls, chimes and bells. This will be followed by a guided tour of the gallery, with a focus on mindfulness and slow looking. The two-hour experience will cost £40 for members and £45 for non-members.

Frame has five studios in central London, it offers membership, drop-in classes and an online membership.

Like many London pay-as-you-go studios Frame had a difficult time during the pandemic. Classes on offer include yoga, conditioning, dance, Pilates, HIIT and exercise for pregnant women. The clubs also run frequent special events such as sound baths and cacao ceremonies.

One of the UK’s most prestigious galleries, Tate Modern is part of a family of four galleries, along with Tate Britain in Westminster, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives.

Collaborations with visitor attractions can bring in new audiences for both parties and help foster a sense of community and added interest for members. Cornwall-based yoga studio, Oceanflow Yoga, holds regular, well-attended silent disco yoga sessions at the environmental attraction, the Eden Project.

This allows Oceanflow to run a longer session, charge a higher price, give existing members a different experience and offers a large space to bring in more people who can’t access the studio on a regular basis.
