11Arches is the production company of multi award-winning Kynren – an epic tale of England; and now operators of 11Arches Park, the newest theme park in the UK extending Kynren’s groundbreaking concept of epic live action show immersing you in a thrilling travel through time.

The onsite production team is expanding rapidly as a result of our growth plans, and we are looking to build a full team fit for year-long operations and deliver our multi-year development plan. We are looking for an experienced and talented marketing Manager to work at a multi-functional and operational level to deliver all aspects of the marketing strategy.

THE PERSON
The Marketing Manager role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be involved in an inspiring, ambitious and unique project, working in a fast-moving, often unpredictable, high-octane environment that accompanies the production of a world-class show. You will have an abundance of great ideas for engaging audiences, creating great content for social media, print, outdoor, radio or television.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will:

• Be a strong marketing all-rounder

• Be a doer with a sense of immediacy – ready to roll your sleeves up and get stuff done in a timely manner whilst ensuring quality of delivery

• Have a proven track record in the Visitor Attraction market

• Have a passion for marketing and engaging audiences

• Have a great eye for detail – whether it’s ensuring copy is grammatically correct, that the kerning is perfect for all captions or the composition of a picture illustrates who we are; getting these things right will be instinctive to you

• If you love the thrill of spinning plates, want to get involved with live production and are unflappable when under pressure then we’d love to hear from you.

THE ROLE
The successful candidate will:

• Work with Marketing Director and Head of Sales & Marketing to develop and refine the 11Arches’ experience/value proposition.

• Work with Marketing Director and Head of Sales & Marketing to develop an annual B2B and B2C marketing, PR and sales strategies in line with 11Arches’ strategic vision.

• Work with the Marketing Director, Head of Sales & Marketing and Marketing Coordinator to ensure that all creative is “on brand” and all communications are “on message”.

• Plan, manage and coordinate all opportunities for increasing reach with Travel Trade and Groups to deliver increased ticket sales.

• Manage all aspects of the day-to-day marketing and ticket sales to visitors and Travel Trade; providing guidance to the team regarding queries, complaints and comments in an effective, constructive and timely manner.

• Manage the Box Office and customer booking journey, reviewing and refining the booking process (offline and online) in terms of presentation, website functionality and content, contact centre and box office, to support ease of booking, level of service and the cost of sales.

• Manage and keep up-to-date the website ensuring SEO is optimised and using content management systems to analyse website traffic and user engagement metrics to further refine the platform.

• Manage and develop exciting content for all social media channels to deliver targeted, effective engagement to expand reach, increase inbound traffic and drive ticket sales.

• Work with the PR agency to engage national and regional media, creating and developing stories and angles with key media, ensuring the team delivers on objectives.

• Develop and deliver all artwork and online and print assets required for advertising, publicity, show literature and promotions.

• Optimise the growth of 11Arches database of opted in subscribers, driving timely and engaging CRM activity and data capture mechanisms.

• Identify, attend and represent 11Arches at relevant stakeholders, trade and community events, exhibitions and conferences.

• Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.

• Work to develop strategies to facilitate ‘the last mile’ travel solutions for visitors to our site.

• Explore and develop corporate opportunities and revenue streams for sponsorship, membership and hospitality programmes.

• Manage merchandise driving timely stock acquisition, control and online and onsite distribution and sales.

• Track, measure and analyse the performance of marketing activity and advertising campaigns developing reports and recommendations.

• Manage, plan and facilitate programmes of market research to identify trends, new audiences and track competitor activity.

• Produce weekly reports summarising all activity undertaken in the preceding week and outlining activity planned for the forthcoming week.

• Facilitate marketing meetings with team and agencies to update on all activities and explore ideas to drive incremental sales.

• Work with members of Volunteer Casting team to drive a community outreach programme designed to involve and grow volunteer engagement and the support of local communities (clubs, societies, schools etc.) through a programme of site visits and off-site.

• Coordinate with our sister charity The Auckland Project to ensure that Bishop Auckland is firmly on the map as a Visitor Destination.
