Three treated after fire at Six Flags Over Georgia

Three people have been treated following a fire at Six Flags Over Georgia this weekend.

The incident, which happened on the Six Flags Railroad, occured on Saturday (12 May), when a fire broke out on the ride's train engine.

According to officials, two Six Flags employees were taken to hospital as a precaution. While no guests were on the ride when the fire started, one was treated following the incident with first aid. All three treated are expected to be ok.

"A fire broke out on the engine of the Six Flags Railroad and was quickly contained," said a statement from Six Flags. "No guests were on board. The area was immediately evacuated. Two employees were transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The safety of our employees and guests is our top priority. The train is closed for further inspection."

Local police and fire officials are investigating the incident.

Three people have been treated following a fire at Six Flags Over Georgia this weekend.
