AV Stumpfl, a leading manufacturer of show control, multimedia and screen technology, has launched a groundbreaking set of solutions for the attractions industries.
The new technology has been installed in T-Rex Café in Disney Springs, helping to create a cinematic-quality meteor shower and asteroid show several times an hour. Five 4K-lumen projectors deliver the show, which are now handled by AV Stumpfl’s Wings VIOSO system, including alignment of projectors.
“Once the maintenance crew has finished handling the projectors, Wings VIOSO uses a small, dedicated camera pointed at the ceiling to automatically realign the images and the blends, and have the show ready within five minutes of completing projector maintenance. Nobody is going to miss the tedium of projector alignment,” said Kevin Zevchik, US manager at AV Stumpfl.
The new product range hinges on the company’s Avio Manager 2.0 software, which simplifies systems infrastructure management by automatically recognising and configuring projectors, scaler/switchers, displays and other devices, no matter what make or model. Inputs and outputs can be wired on-screen using the intuitive software.
Avio Manager 2.0 is compatible with motion-tracking devices, such as Microsoft Kinect and facial recognition systems, as well as social media.
