George Lucas museum reveals architects for legacy project

George Lucas’ legacy project – the US$300m (€220m, £179m) Lucas Museum
of Narrative Art (LMNA) – has revealed that Beijing-based MAD Architects has
been selected as principal designer for the project, while Chicago-based
Studio Gang will work on the landscape. In addition, VOA Associates, based in
Chicago, will serve as the executive architect and lead the implementation of
MAD’s design.

Smithsonian and Penn Museum team up to protect battling Syria's heritage

In an effort to help stem the significant loss of cultural artefacts and
landmarks in Syria, Penn Museum in Philadelphia, US and the Smithsonian
Institution in Washington DC, have teamed up with the Syrian Interim Government’s Heritage Task Force to offer specialist training for the war-torn nation’s museums and monuments.

UK's first black heritage centre opens in Brixton, London

US$500m version of Puy du Fou coming to Russia in 2017

Plans for a US$500m (€371m, £292m) historical theme park in Russia have
been confirmed after Russian billionaire Konstantin Malofeyev signed an
agreement with French company Puy du Fou International to build the attraction.
