Singapore National Gallery sets November opening date

Singapore’s National Gallery will open to the public at the end of this year with a new
S$532m (US$379.6m, €344m, £243.7m) development housing the world’s largest public
collection of Singaporean and Southeast Asian art inside two of the country’s most

US and Cuba form historical aquarium partnership

Tampa Bay’s Florida Aquarium has agreed a partnership with Cuba’s National Aquarium in
Havana, the first time such a deal has been struck since the US imposed a travel and
trade ban in 1960 – one year after Fidel Castro came to power.

Toledo Zoo drafts decade-long US$94.25m masterplan

British architects plan £1.85bn recreation of Tolkien's Minas Tirith

Architect 'duped' over plans for Jack the Ripper museum
