The marketing team at Warner Village Theme Parks’ (WVTP) has won the Tourism Product Marketing award at the Queensland Tourism Awards for its Chinese consumer campaign.
Run throughout 2004-5, the China Consumer Marketing Campaigns included three national television productions created to raise awareness of WVTP’s resorts and Australia’s Gold Coast as a destination for Chinese tourists.
As part of the campaign, the marketing team recently hosted three of China’s most popular recording artists – Wang Jing, Jin Haixin and Lao Lang – when they visited Australia to film music videos at Paradise Country Aussie Farm, Sea World and Warner Bros. Movie World.
A holiday package including the parks is to be advertised inside the cover of each of the videos, along with a competition, when they are released.
The team was also shortlisted in the same award category for its Unlimited 3 Park Super Pass marketing Campaign.
