German high and flat ride manufacturer Huss Maschinenfabrik, known as Huss Rides, has filed for insolvency.
The Bremen-based company, responsible for the Topple Tower, Giant Topspin and Delirium rides, said it was forced into the decision because credit agreements and lines ran out at the end of July this year and have not been extended by the lenders.
The credit agreement also consisted of bank guarantee lines which have been completely used.
According to a spokesperson for the company, “the insolvency practitioner, senior management and the investor are consulting in an effort to maintain jobs, products and the Huss brand for the world market”.
They added: “The situation has come about as part of the restructuring and refinancing of the company relating to the involvement of a new investor and that this, in fact, will ensure that Huss continues in a much stronger financial position.”
The company’s production facility in Hungary has not been affected and will continue as normal, as will the business as a whole. Details: www.hussrides.com
