Nintendo attractions coming to Universal Japan
POSTED 04 Feb 2016 . BY Tom Anstey
The deal sees IPs such as Mario, Zelda and Pokémon move exclusively to Universal theme parks Credit: Nintendo
After partnering with Universal last year, Nintendo has announced plans for yet-to-be revealed attractions at Universal Japan.

Following hot on the heels of the park’s Universal Cool Japan, which recently saw the addition of a virtual reality rollercoaster to the park, the new Nintendo additions will likely drive up attendance at the visitor attraction.

The deal, which sees IPs such as Mario, Zelda and Pokémon move exclusively to Universal theme parks, will likely soon be rolled out across its parks, with rides, shows and other attractions based on the developer’s top franchises to be created.

While it is not known what the attractions will feature or how they will integrate into the park, a joint statement from Universal and Nintendo in May said that they would use “immersive experiences featuring Nintendo's most famous characters and games”.
