Marc Zachary joins Fox's theme park division as senior vice president of business development
POSTED 27 Sep 2017 . BY Tom Anstey
Zachary moves to Fox from Disney after spending six years as vice president of business development and operations for Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media
Marc Zachary has been appointed to a top position within Fox’s location-based entertainment division after being named senior vice president of business development for FoxNext Destinations.

The recently-rebranded FoxNext Destinations (formerly known as Twentieth Century Fox Location Based Entertainment) is currently developing a number of projects worldwide, including the 20th Century Fox World theme park in Malaysia’s Genting Highlands and an Alien Free-Roam VR Experience with IP2 Entertainment. Plans are also in the works for a Fox World theme park in Dubai.

Reporting directly to FoxNext president Salil Mehta and working alongside Jennifer Koblosky, vice president of projects for FoxNext Destinations, Zachary will head up FoxNext Destinations’ business deals and partnerships across theme park attractions and all location-based entertainment worldwide.

Zachary moves to Fox from Disney, where he held the position of vice president of business development and operations for Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media for six years between 2011 and 2017.

Commenting on the appointment, Mehta said that FoxNext was planning to “aggressively expand” its plans around theme parks and location-based entertainment, with Zachary integral to those plans.

“We are fortunate to have an executive as skilled and passionate as Marc on the team.” he said. “His expertise will help us expand our portfolio to locations around the world.”
