Leisure entrepeneur and owner of Blackpool Tower, Trevor Hemmings, has bought a stake in London Clubs International, worth nearly 5 per cent.

Hemmings, who is lobbying with LCI to bring a Vegas-style casino and hotel complex to Blackpool's seafront, is thought to have paid around £3.8m for the shares in the company which, as reported earlier this week, is carrying out a review of its financing options after posting a dive in profits.
