Compagnie des Alpes names Delphine Pons as GM of Parc Asterix

Compagnie des Alpes has appointed Delphine Pons as general manager of its Parc Astérix theme park in Plailly, France.

Pons will officially take over the position on 17 May, replacing the outgoing Nicolas Kremer in the role.

Pons first joined the French visitor attraction and ski resort operator in 2005 and has held a wide range of roles during her 16 years with the group.

She was most recently director of distribution, new business, products and innovation.

Pons said: “Continuing the development of Parc Astérix will be the major challenge for the years to come.

"With the Parc Astérix teams, we will capitalise on the excellent work carried out by my predecessor Nicolas Kremer, and on the many strengths of this great brand."

Earlier this year, Compagnie des Alpes said that it expects most of its Leisure Park arm – which includes its portfolio of visitor attractions and theme parks – to remain closed due to the pandemic throughout Q2 2021.

As well as Parc Astérix, the group operates the Walibi-chain of parks with sites in France, the Netherlands and Belgium; the Futuroscope park in Poitiers; and the two Grévin museums in Paris and Montreal, Canada.
