The Sea Life Adventure in Southend-on-Sea, Essex is preparing for a reopening, following a £1m redevelopment project.
The aquarium’s new flagship attraction will be the Tropical Shark Tank. Holding more than 195 tonnes of water, the tank will exhibit Black Tip Reef sharks and an array of other fish from the Indo Pacific region.
Visitors will be able to view the fish by strolling through a perspex tunnel beneath the tank.
Other additions include new Lionfish and Moray displays, as well as a new restaurant, called The Three Shells at Sea-Life Adventure.
The entrance area has also been extended and now features a new gift shop and customer welcome desk.
Sea-Life Adventure re-opens to the public on Saturday 13 February 2010.
