The fourth annual programme of free events for people visiting central London has been announced.
The Trafalgar Square Summer 2004 will offer visitors a selection of free music and street theatre from the UK and overseas.
Around 100,000 people attended last year, while the launch of this year’s events coincide with the first anniversary of the refurbishment of Trafalgar Square on 2 July.
More than 20 events have been organised this year, including the Children’s Art Day, 4 July; a performance by the Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre, 11 July and a street opera version of the Magic Flute on 25 July.
Visitors to London will also be able to see a version of Eisenstein’s silent film, Battleship Potemkin, performed live by pop group, Pet Shop Boys, on 12 September.
