Cedar Point amusement park/resort in Ohio has announced it is to renovate its Radisson Harbour Inn into a year-round indoor waterpark resort scheduled to open in November 2004.
Further details of this project are expected to be announced at a later date.
Meanwhile, Cedar Point has also revealed it is to invest nearly $10m in improvements for the resort side of the Lake Erie peninsula.
The existing Soak City Waterpark and Lighthouse Point luxury camping complex will both be extended in time for the 2004 season, which begins in May.
The waterpark, which is separate to Cedar Point theme park, will see the addition of Splash Zone, a multi-storey interactive play area with slides, chutes, geysers and activity pools as well as a bucket, 48ft above the zone, which will pour 1,000 gallons of water on guests below every ten minutes.
At Lighthouse Point, the number of lakeside cottages will be increased from 14 to 64, cabins from 30 to 40 and luxury RV campsites from 38 to 97.
