Katie Towersey has been appointed as the new spa director for Rockliffe Hall, the five-star luxury golf and spa resort in Northern England’s County Durham countryside.

Towersey has over 20 years of experience within the spa and wellness industry, with several years spent working with iconic brands such as Espa, L’Occitane and Jurlique.

Prior to the appointment, she held the position of spa manager at Verbena Spa at Feversham Arms Hotel in York, among other spa manager roles at The Peak Health Club & Spa at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London and SoSPA Sofitel London St James.

Towersey is succeeding Victoria Rickett who spent 10 years overseeing Rockliffe Hall’s spa.

Her new role will see her take up responsibility for the countryside retreat’s award-winning 50,000sq ft spa, claimed to be one of the largest in the country.

This will involve working alongside Rockliffe Hall’s carefully chosen spa partners Neom, Comfort Zone and OPI to bring a refreshed offering of first-class treatments.

Towersey commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Rockliffe Hall’s fantastic spa team at such an exciting time when the industry is beginning to reopen its doors.

“I feel that guests will arrive with a renewed sense of optimism and appreciation for spa and wellness, and I look forward to ensuring they continue to receive the high standard service for which Rockliffe Hall is renowned for.”

Managing director of Rockliffe Hall Jason Adams added: “Katie shows a great amount of passion, knowledge, and experience in her field of spa and wellness.

“With her appointment, I’m confident we’ll only drive Rockliffe Hall even further towards meeting the very highest levels of hospitality that our guests visit to experience.”
