A specialist in orthopaedics, trauma surgery and acupuncture, Kunz built his extensive experience working as assistant physician at Arienkrankenhaus for four years
Sebastian Kunz has been appointed medical director at Lanserhof’s newest outpost in London. Medical spa brand Lanserhof is partnering with a London private members’ club to bring a state-of-the-art medical gym to England's capital city on 1 May 2019.

Lanserhof at The Arts Club will offer all members an MRI scan as part of a bespoke training programme. The gym will be led by medical experts, with an emphasis on a quality approach to health and fitness while ‘training responsibly.’

A specialist in orthopaedics, trauma surgery and acupuncture, Kunz built his career working as an assistant physician at Marienkrankenhaus for four years, honing his skills alongside Dr J Schmitt, one of the official physicians for the German national football team for over four years.

Kunz also spent time as an assistant physician and additionally as a specialist at the private clinic Mediaparkklinik in Cologne for three years, working alongside experts in sports medicine, orthopaedics, trauma surgery, and naturopathy.

As well as working with the team doctors for Germany´s first league football teams 1. FC Köln and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Kunz also worked for four years at Gemeinschaftspraxis (group practice) Königsallee in Düsseldorf and was responsible for the department of Sports Medicine and the biomechanical Movement LAB.

As medical director for Lanserhof at The Arts Club, Kunz will play an integral role in the brand’s expansion into the UK. Leading a team of 30 doctors, physicians, and specialists, he will work to establish a medical gym, where sports medicine and high-end diagnostics meet natural healing procedures.

Kunz’s priorities will be dedicated to improving the quality and value of care of guests through a ‘responsible approach’ to fitness based on the knowledge and in-depth research Lanserhof is known for.

"We are very pleased that we have been able to recruit such an experienced doctor to be at the helm of our new venture in London as medical director,” said Dr Christian Harisch, CEO of Lanserhof. “We are confident that Sebastian Kunz will provide our (London) local guests with the in-depth care they need, in line with the excellence by which Lanserhof is recognised.“

As part of the programme that will be available at Lanserhof at The Arts Club, members will have access to high-end diagnostic procedures in different medical fields as well as a world-class gym, studios for classes, consulting rooms, treatment rooms for sports and other injuries, a carefully-crafted menu of healthy food and cryotherapy treatment chambers.

With treatments tailored to guests’ individual needs, each journey will focus on helping guests get fit ‘responsibly’ by first understanding their body’s unique needs in order to achieve lasting results.
