Indonesia’s Ancol Dreamland theme park in Jakarta has revealed plans to launch a brand new visitor attraction based on popular Japanese cartoon character Hello Kitty by the end of 2014.

Hello Kitty Town in neighbouring Malaysiaamong the country’s most popular visitor attractions.
Set for launch on 12 December, park director Teuku Sahir Syahali said that the attraction had been in the works for the past two years.
‘We are hoping that Hello Kitty can spread more happiness to Indonesian families who go to Dufan during the holidays,” said Teuku speaking to
kompas.com.
The Hello Kitty attraction will be the first to open in Indonesia and the park is predicting around 12,000 fans of the brand will be in attendance on launch day, though what it will actually comprise, along with costs, has not yet been revealed.
