Colwyn Bay's Theatr Colwyn - one of the oldest operating venues of its kind in Wales - is to reopen this summer, following the completion of a redevelopment project.
In September, the Welsh Assembly Government approved £500,000 of funding towards the venue's restoration as part of the North Wales Strategic Regeneration Area Programme.
Conwy Council also contributed £238,000 as part of its Bay Life+ initiative to help fund the work, which has included a complete overhaul of the front-of-house areas.
Theatr Colwyn's upstairs bar has been relocated to the foyer and a new box office has been created, along with office space. Disabled access has also been improved.
General manager Sarah Ecob said: "In addition to all the issues raised by the long history of the building, this is a large and intricate project in a small building with limited access from public highways."
