The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has announced that the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales, has been awarded more than £706,000 through its Landscape Partnership (LPS) scheme.
Gwynedd Council is leading the LPS, which comprises a number of other local groups and aims to implement a range of schemes to promote the area's economy and culture.
Work will include the conservation and restoration of 330 hectares (815 acres) of wildlife habitats and improvements to interpretation for visitors to the peninsula.
LPS chair Meinir Jones said: "The project will help local people and visitors to understand and celebrate the uniqueness of the Llyn Peninsula's environmental and cultural riches."
