Scone Palace in Perth, Scotland, will undergo a renovation programme which will see the Palace's derelict six-acre Victorian Walled Garden being restored.
Work on clearing the smallest of the three areas in the garden will begin this October, with full renovation work starting in the spring.
The centrepiece of the first phase of the renovation project will be the old glass Peach House.
The other two areas will be turned into a productive market garden containing a full range of fruit, flowers and vegetables, with produce available to buy at the gate or through the Palace Food Shop.
The renovation of the walled garden is the biggest in a series of initiatives planned for the Palace gardens and grounds.
Other projects will include developing a dedicated wildlife area in the historic arboretum and introducing a series of themed horticultural events and seminars for members of the public, focusing on behind the scenes tours and different aspects of the garden through the seasons.
Scone Palace is open to visitors during the summer months and is owned by the 8th Earl of Mansfield, William David Murray.
