SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment is offering free one-day admission to any UK, Irish or continental European tourists stranded in Florida due to the interruption to international air travel caused by ash from the Icelandic volcano.
The offer is available at SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica waterpark and Busch Gardens Tampa on presentation of a valid return airline ticket from 14 April until 21 April - or until normal flight schedules resume - plus valid ID.
A similar scheme is being operated by the UK's National Trust, with visitors showing a ticket from the affected period together with their passport being offered free entry to a number of its sites for as long as people remain stuck in Britain.
Fiona Reynolds, director general of the National Trust, said: "British travellers stranded overseas have been shown tremendous hospitality by their hosts.
"This offer is a way of reciprocating that kindness and saying thank you on behalf of the country."
