Nirah, the group behind the £300m freshwater aquarium project planned for Stewartby, Bedfordshire, has submitted its plans to Bedfordshire County Council.
The future of the scheme had been in doubt when the council said in June that it was not prepared to put any more money towards the planning application, but threw the project a crucial lifeline with a £200,000 loan last month.
