New travel website handpicks the best of Wales
POSTED 08 Jun 2006 . BY
A new travel website and itinerary planner for visitors to Wales has been launched with the backing of tourism body VisitWales.

www.walesinstyle.com, a not for profit organisation, includes a list of accommodation, attractions and activities in Wales, each of which has been handpicked and independently reviewed.

A spokesperson for the site said: “Wales in Style specialises in the kind of individual, quirky and noteworthy properties which are often hard to find in guide books – hotels, guest accommodation, self-catering cottages, pubs restaurants, shops, all kinds of visitor attractions and outdoor activities are all represented.”

Simon Wright, owner of Y Polyn Restaurant and quality advisor to Wales in Style, added: “Wales has the type of contemporary hotels and restaurants that many consumers are seeking, but our research found that they were having trouble locating them.

“Inclusion in Wales in Style is by invitation only, guaranteeing that only the very best will make the grade.”

Selections are made by a panel comprising professionals from the tourism and hospitality sectors in Wales.
