Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, US, is preparing to top out its newest ride – the world's tallest water ride.
The US$4.3m (£m3, 3.4m euro) Pilgrim's Plunge, a shoot-the-chute ride, will tower above the park at the height of 135ft.
Riders will embark on a 15ft boat which will be elevated to the top of the ride, before being dropped down a slide at an 45 degree angle, propelling the boat to speeds approaching 50 miles per hour.
Upon impact on the pool below, the boat will generate a wall of water 90ft wide and 45ft high.
The ride, which has been designed by Swiss company Intamin, will open to the public on the first day of Holiday World's 63rd season, 2 May.
