Australia’s first beachside observation deck is set to be unveiled within the Q1 Tower on the Gold Coast, when the property opens in December.
The Q1 Observation Deck is situated 235m up, on levels 77-78 of the new tower in Surfer’s Paradise and will offer 360-degree views of the Gold Coast coastline.
The deck has a capacity of 400 people and also includes the Level 78 Skylight Room, which offers guests a cinema presentation on the history of the Gold Coast and a Skybar.
The attraction will open from 10am until late.
“In time, a visit to the Q1 Observation Deck will be synonymous with the Gold Coast in much the same way as people relate the Eiffel Tower to Paris and the Empire State Building to New York,” said Observation Deck manager, Tracy Willis.
Billed as the world’s tallest residential tower, the 80-storey Q1 Resort and Spa development will boast 527 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, two lagoon swimming pools with a sandy beach, a fitness suite and indoor swimming pool and a spa operated by Exclusive Spas of Australia.
