Precor switches up sales team
POSTED 31 Jul 2014 . BY Jak Phillips
Steve Shaw previously held this same position back in 2011, before travelling around the world and returning to Precor to work on export sales
Fitness equipment supplier and manufacturer Precor has shuffled the pack of its sales team, moving two senior members into new roles.

Senior group account manager James Moffat has been promoted to sales director EMEA Partners. The role sees Moffat managing the company’s export partners where Precor does not have a direct office.

Having worked for Precor for the last nine years, Moffat said: “I am very much looking forward to the challenge and understanding the different dynamics of the export business, after working on the UK side for so long.”

Meanwhile, Steve Shaw, who has been with Precor since 2007, is to take on the role of senior group account manager for the UK/EMEA. Shaw previously held this same position back in 2011, before travelling around the world and returning to Precor to work on export sales. He moves from the EMEA export market, where he was responsible for Preva networked fitness.

Shaw, who has a degree in Sports Science, along with 10 years of experience in the industry, said: “At Precor I’ve gained experience and knowledge of both the UK and international markets and during the last two years have become more involved in how technology can be used to enhance the experience both within the gym and outside, as well as helping operators achieve their business goals.

“I have been fortunate to have worked with some of the largest operators in EMEA and I am excited about moving back to the UK market. Our UK business has grown significantly in recent years and is consistently at the forefront of industry trends and development.”
