Canada’s CAST Software has released the latest version of its ‘wysiwyg’ solution for lighting designers, multimedia and production professionals. The company says it is the biggest release of the software since it was introduced twenty years ago.
The latest version, R33, includes 10 new features with a focus on added realism, enabling creativity and return on investment.
The new features include a LED video wall glow, shaded view optimisations and profiles, templates, and double the number of universes. Many of the new additions resulted from extensive beta testing by some of CAST Software’s most experienced wysiwyg users.
CITP content protocol uses JPEG compression enabling designers to display higher resolution videos in wysiwyg at up to 400 x 400 pixels, while the LED Video Wall Glow allows users to enable or disable screens and LED walls glow that will interact realistically with the lighting setup, performers and objects on stage.
